The left side of the lever is inspector marked "K.S.M." (the aforementioned is a left over military inspected lever or this rifle failed U.S. inspection and was sold commercially, you be the judge). Smooth straight grip stock with bayonet lug, sling swivels, split front barrel band, grooved forearm with upper handguard, "FOR" carved upside-down into the left buttstock and a smooth trapdoor butt.

Fine, with approximately 60% of the original blue finish. A smooth gray patina is visible on the high edges and sides of the magazine, spotting and a brown patina on the barrel bands and barrel, and some mild dents and handling marks. Stock is very good, with exception of a crack on the handguard, scratching and pressure dents. Action is excellent.
