Description:

This is an example of a post war M1 Garand as manufactured by Springfield Armory. The barrel is marked "S-A-3-51" and the rear of the receiver has the standard four line marking over the serial number. The rifle is fitted with a bayonet lug and stacking swivel. The stock is marked with the National Defense stamp, (three stars over spread wing eagle) on the left side and the circled "P" in the grip area, the buttplate is checkered steel with compartment and there is a green canvas military sling.

Rating Definition:

Arsenal rebuilt. The rifle retains approximately 97% of the original parkerized finish. The stock and hand guard are near excellent with some scattered minor dents and dings. The sling is excellent.
