Description:

This is a U.S. Winchester M1 Rifle that was overhauled by an Army Depot in October 1964 with mixed WRA and SA components. The rifle has a gray-green parkerized finish with walnut stock, hand guard and forearm. The right side of the receiver leg is electro-penciled with the "TE/10-64" rebuild marking. The rifle has the post-WWII Type III rear sights, late gas cylinder lock and lock screw and 1960's Remington (7790722-RA) "NM" marked operating rod. The right side of the barrel is marked "S-A-7-47". The bolt and most of the components in the trigger housing group are WRA marked. The stock is stamped with a "P" proof mark over "A" but has no other markings.

Rating Definition:

Arsenal refurbished. The rifle retains about 90% of the arsenal gray-green parkerized finish. The receiver markings are sharp. The bore is bright. The stock, hand guard and forearm are in very good overall condition with moderate storage and handling wear. A very good example of a WWII Winchester M1 Garand Rifle that was arsenal overhauled in the mid-1960s.
