This is a truly outstanding example of an Ithaca single-barrel trap shotgun produced between 1922 and 1988. This shotgun features two ivory beads on a vent rib barrel, choked full with a 2-3/4 inch chamber and an auto ejector. The action is casehardened and scroll engraved on a punch dot background with the image of a shooter on the left side and the federal eagle holding an olive branch and two arrows on the right. The scroll engraving is continued on the trigger guard and both tangs. The stock is fancy oiled walnut with a checkered pistol grip stock and beavertail forearm. Black grip cap with a blank initial shield inlaid into the buttstock with the correct replacement Ithaca "Anti-Recoil" recoil pad.

Excellent plus with 99%+ of the original casehardened and blue finish remaining. There are a few small marks on the receiver from storage. The wood is excellent plus with only slight handling and storage marks. Vibrant case colors. A rare find in truly exceptional condition. Writer cannot recall ever seeing a better one of these!
