This single shot, single barrel shotgun was manufactured by The Three Barrel Gun Company of Wheeling West Virginia. It features a single brass bead sight on the matte solid rib, 2 3/4" chamber, choked improved modified with an ejector. The barrel, trigger guard and break lever are blue and the receiver is casehardened. The receiver is lightly scroll and border engraved with a duck in flight in an oval on the right side and a pigeon on the left side. The trigger guard and upper tang have the same pattern engraving. The only other markings on the shotgun is "THE THREE BARREL GUN CO." on the right rear of the barrel, "WHEELING W. VA" on the left and the serial number "139" on the lower tang, underside of the barrel and on the inside of the forearm. The forearm and pistol grip stock are checkered with pronounced finger grips on the forearm, a hard rubber grip cap, red rubber recoil pad with black spacer and brass initial oval. Pull is 14 1/8". The shotgun is accompanied by copies of shipping records, hand written and later typed for easier reading, which shows this shotgun having been shipped to N.Y. Sporting Goods Co. in July, 1908.

Excellent. The barrel retains approximately 98% of the original finish with some muzzle wear and light scuffs and scratches. The trigger guard is thinning with edge wear and smooth gray patina on the tang. The receiver retains much of the original faded case colors and some spots graying. The wood is excellent with some scattered overall minor dings, dents and scratches. The recoil pad is hard and dried out with age cracking and some chips. The markings and engraving are clear and crisp. The action is fine.
