Manufactured from 1883 to 1909, this model has what was advertised as the "new style Low Circular Hammers". These are very distinctive when compared with all other Remington hammer guns, and is the only hammer gun that has its rib marked "-REMINGTON ARMS CO.-/ - ILION N.Y. U.S.A.-". This shotgun is a Grade 3 and features a single brass bead sight on the matted rib with standard markings and Damascus barrels. "3" is marked on the underside of the barrels and the water table. Casehardened frame and side plates which are marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO.", with checkered hammers and double triggers. Checkered forearm with ebony forend inlay and rounded pistol grip stock with a Remington monogram checkered black buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 95% of the finish, showing a few minor areas of wear and minor handling marks. Strong casehardening colors are visible on the lock plates and action, with the pattern remaining strong on the underside and around the breech. The stock is very good as revarnished, with moderate scratches and pressure dents concentrated on the forearm. The action is excellent.
