Sold to the U.S. government during WWII featuring a pinned blade front sight and adjustable rear target sight. The top of the barrel is marked with standard two line address and patent date. The left side of the barrel is marked with a bull's-eye image with the word "MATCH" above it and "TARGET" below it. "THE WOODSMAN" is marked on the left side of the frame with crossed cannon mark underneath it. The left side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" along with the Rampant Colt (which is lightly struck, but correct). The right rear of the slide has an indentation present rear of the slide serrations. The right side of the frame has the inspectors mark "G.H.D." Complete with elongated checkered plastic grips with Colt medallions and a blued magazine marked "COLT WOODSMAN / CAL 22 L.R."

Excellent. The frame, slide and barrel retains approximately 99% bright original blue. The grips are excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
