Description:

The lot consists of 1) U.S. Remington M1917 bayonet wth leather scabbord, 2) U.S. Model 1873 Socket Bayonet with type # scabbard with cast "US" exutcheun plate, blued steel scabbard body and leather belt loop, 3) U.S. model 1855 socket bayonet with "U.S." on the shank of the blade, 4) M1835/42 Socket Bayonet marked "U.S" on the blade shank and 5) U.S. model 1816 bayonet marked "US/ED" on the shank and "U86" on the right side of the socket.

Rating Definition:

(1) The M1917 bayonet and scabbard are very fine with original finish and sharp markings. (2) The M1873 bayonet is excellent with 98% of the original blue on scabbard and blade and excellent leather. (3) The M1855 bayonet is in good condition with minor pitting on the blade and socket, (4) The M1835/42 bayonet is in good condition with scattered age discoloration, and (5) The M1816 bayonet is in very good condition with age discoloration but no pitting.
