Description:

This configuration of the Model 52 rifle was produced by Winchester between 1934 and 1958. Referred to as the Model 52 Sporter it went through the same improvements as the Target Rifle. It features a ramped hooded bead front sight with a receiver mounted Lyman "F" adjustable peep sight at the rear. The receiver was factory drilled and tapped for scope mounts which is evident from the two Winchester proofs which are offset to the left side of the barrel and receiver. Polished bolt with the barrel marked on the left side at the receiver with the model and caliber/"WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL". The Winchester "Trade Mark" marking is located on left side of the barrel as well as the right side of the receiver. Complete with detachable magazine, one piece select walnut checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a raised cheekpiece and black forend tip, steel grip cap, checkered plastic buttplate and quick release sling swivels. The triggerguard assembly does not have "sporting" markings due to "O.T." and "Pull" adjustment screws, just like on target M52's.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 99%+ of the original blue finish remaining. The Lyman peep sight is excellent with crisp markings. The wood is excellent plus with only light pressure dents and handling marks.
