The carbine is gold finished, with silver inlay. Standard markings, with silver scrollwork at the breech, a scene on the right side of the receiver depicting the "Super Gopher" drilling machine, and a scene on the left of the Glacier Girl, one of the P-38s from the squadron restored to flight status. The hammer and bolt are jeweled, with "PROOF" in a scroll between two Air Corps stars on the bolt. Fancy stock with deep scroll carving, showing the Glacier Girl and a B-17 on the forearm, a bust of Bob Cardin (project coordinator) on the right side of the wrist, Roy & Eddie Shoffner (financiers) on the left, with another image of Glacier Girl on the left side of the buttstock. In a French cut locking case, with a leather tag inside of the lid. Also included are copies of The Lost Squadron by Hays, P-38 Lightning in Action by Davis, and P-38 Lightning by Alexander, a framed certificate of authenticity and framed memorabilia, including a piece of Glacier Girl with certificate and a framed poster signed by Bob Cardin, and other miscellaneous items.
