Description:

The 2 3/4" flat wood frame has a 1 1/4" gold liner leaving a 54 inch by 36 inch board printed in full color by the Forbes Co. of Boston. The center vignette has two hunters behind a dead bear with their Winchester rifles leaned against a log next to them. Without a thought to future collectors they left both butts buried in snow. There is a flying mallard on the left and a moose head on the right. Over 100 cartridges, bullets, primer tins, etc. are pictured, with several rows of pistol and rifle bullets forming the "Double W" for which this advertisement is known.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with some separation of the lithograph from the frame along the top, varnish loss and scuffing concentrated on the edges of the frame, and mild flaking and scuffs on the lithograph itself. A fine addition to any Winchester collection.
