Eagerly sought by collectors. Introduced in 1924 and only 957 manufactured when production ended in 1936. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates, the left side is marked "SMITH & WESSON" and the S&W logo appears on the left rear of the frame. The right side of the slide is marked with the caliber designation and the frame is marked "MADE IN U.S.A.". The pistol is equipped with low profile fixed sights, a front grip safety, seven round detachable magazine and smooth walnut grips with gold S&W medallions. Complete with original brown, hinged factory box numbered on the bottom to this gun.

Excellent with approximately 99% of the original finish remaining. Only the slightest of thinning at the muzzle and small handling marks on the rear grip strap at the magazine release. The unmarked magazine shows only light usage marks from installing in the gun. The box is very good with light surface and edge wear, all corners are solid. The end label is clear and firmly attached and the instruction label on the inside lid is excellent with only a small dent on one side from the gun shifting.
