Description:

Rare H&R single shot target revolver, also called the Model 195. These pistols were produced from 1928 to the end in 1941 and was intended to compete with Colt Single Shot "Camp Perry" pistols also produced during this time. The United States Revolver Association set the standards for competitive target shooting and was a major influence on this design. These pistols were produced with no throat in the barrel so that the bullet was actually engraved by the rifling as means to increase accuracy. H&R kept no chronology of the production, but it is estimated that no more than a few thousand were ever produced. The pistol is equipped with a Partridge front sight, adjustable rear sight, tip-up barrel with auto-extractor, and checkered wraparound grips. Complete with original blue H&R cardboard box numbered to gun with an extra pair of grips, screwdriver, cleaning rod, instruction manual, and a factory price list for parts dated April 1931.
