Description:

This is a nice example of a late WWII Japanese Type 14, Nambu Pistol manufactured at the Nagoya Arsenal in August 1942 (Showa 17.8). The pistol is marked with the Nagoya markings on the right side of the upper receiver ahead of the serial number, the lower section of the frame has the 17.8 Showa date. It has a large trigger guard, early cocking piece with the all blued finish on the various parts. Mahogany grips and blued magazine with alloy base. All parts have matching serial numbers.

Rating Definition:

Very good 96% original finish remains with wear on the edges and high spots. There is some general thinning in areas with the grip strap and underside of the trigger guard bow browning out. The frame shows slight edge wear and scattered light pin prick type pitting with a couple of scratches. The grips are very good with a small chip on the left grip, safety drag mark and normal signs of use. All markings remain sharp.
