This is a good example of a prewar Polish 98K style rifle as manufactured at the Radom factory in 1938. Many of these rifles were later pressed into service after the fall of Poland by German. This model was a combination of the Czech Vz24 and FN model 24 short rifle. The top of the receiver ring is marked with the large Polish Eagle over F.B./RADOM/1938 and the receiver side wall is marked wz.29. These models all have milled components, barrel bands, floor plate and trigger guard. It has the full length walnut stock and top handguard with side and underside mounted sling swivels. It is complete with an original cleaning rod and leather sling.

Fine overall with 70% of the original blue finish showing wear on the barrel bands, trigger guard and floor plate. The bolt is a correct polish version that has been parkerized but doesn't match the rifle. The stock and handguard are both in very good condition showing light pressure dents and handling marks overall. A nice example of a early prewar Polish service rifle.
