The left side of the receiver is marked "-MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.- / NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PAT.OCT.10.93.JAN.30.94.OCT.8.95.". The top of the barrel is marked "MANUFACTURED BY / -WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A.-" in front of the rear sight and marked "-NICKEL STEEL BARREL-/ ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER" to the rear. The caliber ".236 U.S.N." is stamped on the top rear of the barrel. The barrel is fitted with a blade front sight and an elevator rear sight. The plain pistol grip stock is unmarked and is fitted with a hard rubber grip cap embossed with the company name and a metal buttplate.

Excellent with 95% of original blue finish with high edge wear and light traces of blue on the bolt knob and underside of the magazine. The areas around the receiver edges have traces of blue mixed with a smooth brown and reddish patina. The buttplate has heavy traces of blue with light surface rust overall with moderate surface rust around the edges. The stock is good some minor scratches and a couple of minor nicks, and some finish damage from a slip-on recoil pad. The markings are clear.
