These were made under a South American contract. Marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. / ILION.N.Y. U.S.A. / PAT'D OCT. 22ND, 1901." on the upper tang and "CAL. 7 M.M." on top of the barrel in front of the hand guard. The barrel bands are marked "U". The rear sight is graduated to 21 and the left side is graduated to 13. The rifle is fitted with an automatic ejector, the barrel is blue and casehardened receiver, full forearm with hand guard, steel cleaning rod, bayonet lug and straight grip stock with a steel buttplate and sling swivels. There is a small "82" stamped on the stock between the sling swivel and lower tang.

Excellent. The barrel and barrel bands retain 99% of the original finish with some light spotting on the barrel. The buttplate has a dark patina with light spotting. The receiver retains 95% of the original bright case colors with some fading on the lower tang. The wood is excellent with a small shallow gouge on the hand guard and overall minor dings and dents. The markings are crisp. Mechanically excellent.
