Description:

A raised bust of Admiral Dewey tops this 23" tall pendulum shelf clock. The finely carved oak case has a naval theme and is decorated with crossed cannons over cannon balls and scroll work flourishes on the two upper and lower wings. The lower wing also has flags and the base features alternating anchors and stars. The glass door features a gold shield with double flags over crossed sabers on each side below the battleship Maine surrounded by scrolls. The clock face is 6" in diameter with Roman numerals and two winding posts, and features an eight day movement with chimes. The pendulum is a heavy bronze shield with an America Eagle gripping arrows on a Stars and Stripes shield with three flags in the background. Manufactured by the E. Ingraham company of Bristol, CT. Complete with winding key.

Rating Definition:

Very good with some spots of discoloration on the wood. The face of the clock shows some wear and age yellowing. The consignor reports that the clock should be cleaned, oiled and adjusted before winding.
