Description:

1) Heavy khaki canvas haversack with leather shoulder sling. Flap marked with black stenciled crossed sabers "1/A" (Co. A, 1st Regt Cavalry) below large "U.S." with partial Rock Island Arsenal markings. 2) 1898 dated government contract cavalry gauntlets. Quality gray leather gloves with stiffened, 4-1/4" long cuffs. Minor decorative stitching on the backs. Each cuff is stamped inside "EDMOND R. LYON/ CONTRACT MAY 26th 1898". 3) Pair of canvas leggings, not a match but close. One has Manila Depot stamp.

Rating Definition:

1) Excellent. Finish has some flexing cracks. 2) Excellent. The cuffs are lined with russet leather and minor darkening from use. 3) Very good used condition.
