A, 1st Regt Cavalry) below large "U.S." with partial Rock Island Arsenal markings. 2) 1898 dated government contract cavalry gauntlets. Quality gray leather gloves with stiffened, 4-1/4" long cuffs. Minor decorative stitching on the backs. Each cuff is stamped inside "EDMOND R. LYON/ CONTRACT MAY 26th 1898". 3) Pair of canvas leggings, not a match but close. One has Manila Depot stamp.
