Made in 1875. The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO / HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A." flanked by Maltese crosses and the left side of the frame is marked "22CAL". A single zig-zag line is engraved at the muzzle, with factory scroll engraving on the barrel, cylinder and frame. Matching numbers, smooth ivory grips.

Very fine, with approximately 85% of the original untouched nickel finish. Nickel has flaked on the barrel and cylinder, with some pitting in those areas. The rest of the surface is excellent, with minor handling marks and high edge wear. Three age cracks are visible in the right grip, with one running the vertical length, otherwise the grips are very fine with minimal shrinkage and a fine color. Mechanically fine.
