A) Enfield No 2 Mk 1 Revolver

Description:

Modified Webley design originally adopted in 1932. This revolver was manufactured in 1937. 5" barrel, six shot top break chambered for the .38 S & W. Standard Enfield marks and features. Additional stamping on right side of frame below cylinder is "R.A.F."

Rating Definition:

Excellent retaining approximately 90% of original finish. Grips are very good with crisp lines.

Description:

Same features as A with the exception of the hammer spur and single action lock work omitted in response to the Royal Tank Regiment's fear that the spur would catch on the tank as crews were entering or exiting their confines. Standard Enfield markings with "crown / BNP" on frame and cylinder behind each flute. "A.M2" stamped on cylinder. Butt has been ground and the lanyard ring hole plugged.

Rating Definition:

Fair, retaining little of original finish showing signs of polishing and buffing. Grips are good with crisp lines and minimal handling marks. Barrel has been professionally shortened to 2 1/2 inches and the front sight expertly repositioned on the top of the barrel.

Introduced in 1906. Pocket pistol properly without sights. Standard markings and Birmingham proofs, "winged bullet / W & S", left side of slide is marked with a 3 line "WEBLEY & SCOTT Ltd / LONDON & BIRMINGHAM / 6.55 m/m AUTOMATIC PISTOL". Features serrated hammer, external safety located on left grip panel and checkered hard rubber grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, 90% of original finish remains. Grips are very good with crisp checkering and minor handling marks.
