Early Pre ban SP1 rifle, made in approximately 1965 featuring fixed post front sight and two position aperture rear sight. The lower receiver is marked with the Rampant Colt followed by "COLT / AR15". "MODEL SP1" is marked above the serial number. Three prong flash hider, bayonet lug, no forward assist and synthetic hand guard, stock and checkered pistol grip. It has the early features, chromed bolt, non-chrome barrel, large headed cross-pin in the bolt carrier, and no-trap in the buttstock. Missing magazine. Complete with a black nylon sling.

Excellent. 99% finish remains with slight muzzle wear and light handling marks. The stock, hand guard and grip are excellent with minor handling marks. Checkering is sharp on the grip. The sling is excellent.
