Introduced in 1954 at the urging of Bill Jordan, the Model 19 was one of Smith & Wesson's most popular revolvers. The Model 19 is built on a K frame, was the first medium frame revolver chambered for the powerful 357 Magnum cartridge and was the first revolver to be introduced as a three screw model. This particular revolver was manufactured in 1958 and features the rare 4 screw frame. The barrel has the standard barrel and frame markings. It is equipped with the standard fixed front ramp and adjustable rear sights, casehardened trigger and hammer and checkered target grips with S&W medallions and a diamond around the screw escutcheon. The trigger is serrated, the hammer is checkered and the backstrap has 10 serrated grooves. The Model 19 was discontinued in 1999.

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% plus original finish with only slight handling marks and a moderate drag line on the cylinder. Almost all of the original bright case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are excellent with a couple of minor dings, light handling marks and sharp checkering. An exceptionally nice Model 19 with rare 4 screw frame.
