Description:

Other than the matching serial number (1321) on the cylinder and four major components, there are no other visible markings on this revolver. The revolver appears to be of American manufacture, rather than European, but the writer will let the purchaser decide what it is. The barrel is equipped with a brass blade front sight and a hammer notch rear sight. There is a small beveled loading cut in the lug on the right side, no capping groove in the recoil shield cut out. Checkered hammer spur, small round brass trigger guard and backstrap and fitted with smooth one-piece dark walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The metal surfaces show signs of cleaning some time ago and the metal has been artificially aged to a mottled gray with scattered minor pitting. There are several moderate scratches in the muzzle end of the barrel (when the sight was replaced crudely) caused by an abrasive material, probably used when the cleaning was done. There are a few moderate dents on the left side of the frame and on the rear of the barrel. The brass was polished at some time and is again taking on an aged patina. The grips are about good with rounded and chipped toes and heels, numerous minor dings, dents and scratches and about 70% of the original varnish remaining. The action is good. From the Will Hoffeld Collection.
