Description:

The top barrel flat is marked "COLT / BREVETE" and "ADDRESS SAML COLT / NEW YORK CITY". Matching serial numbers marked on the barrel, frame and trigger guard along with "DR". The barrel is marked with a "crown / H" proof mark and a very faint proof mark is marked on the nipple shoulder. Silver plated brass square trigger guard and back strap with what were blued barrel and plain unfluted cylinder and casehardened frame, hammer and loading lever. Fitted with smooth varnished one-piece grips.

Rating Definition:

Good. The metal surfaces exhibit a smooth dark patina. There is some light pin prick pitting on the frame. There is strong amounts of silver plating. The grips are fine with half of the varnish and some minor handling marks. Mechanically needs work. From the Will Hoffeld collection.
