Description:

Unmarked (possibly a Kentucky) percussion pistol with front blade and notch rear barrel sights and heavy octagonal barrel with smooth bore. Brass forend, ramrod rings (two), trigger guard and plate for lock plate screw engraved with a star and simple line border. The hammer is scroll engraved. Trigger stripe maple stock with a short curl on butt without a cap. Complete with trigger stripe maple ramrod with ivory tip.

Rating Definition:

Good with the barrel exhibiting a dark mottled patina. The brass has a smooth dark aged patina. The wood is very good with some minor scratches and nicks and a couple of light scuff marks. The action functions, but hangs up on half-cock. Needs minor work. From the Will Hoffeld collection, purchased from Leonard Lufsky in 1960.
