This long (1 9/16") cylinder model was produced between 1881 and 1913, and is serial numbered in a separate serial number series from the .44 Double Action 1st Model. Pinned blade front and latch notch rear sights, with the two line address and patent markings on the rib next to a single Maltese cross near the front sight. Matching numbers on the barrel, latch, cylinder and butt. Hammer and trigger are casehardened, with a blue recurve trigger guard, 6-round cylinder with grooves and two sets of stops, and checkered hard rubber grips with S&W imprints.

Excellent, with 97% of the original nickel finish, showing some very light and minor flaking of the nickel in a few areas. Strong case colors are visible on the hammer, with very strong original blue on the trigger guard mixed with faint patina streaks. The grips are very good with some mellowing of the color and mild dents. Mechanically fine.
