Description:

Early model, manufactured in 1876 to 1880. Faint address on top of barrel. Floral pattern engraving is visible on the barrel, scooped cylinder, and frame, with a Mexican eagle motif on the left side of the frame below the hammer. Barrel, frame and cylinder are numbered "2486". Grips are smooth ivory, with a lanyard ring on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with approximately 25% of the original nickel finish, showing a pitted gray patina on much of the surface. Most of the visible nickel is on the underside of the frame and on the grip straps. Grips are good, with age cracking on the butt and mustard patina. Action is good. Purchased from Southwestern Gun , Cal. and from the Will Hoffeld collection.
