Manufactured in Germany, this shotgun features Vintager Cup Special engraving by Merkel master engraver Burkhatd Hafner. The barrels, trigger guard and break lever are blue and the remaining metal is silver gray. The action, side plates, trigger guard, tang, break lever and forearm latch and hardware feature beautiful fine floral scroll engraving. There is a wedge of the same pattern on the breech end sides of the barrels. The left side plate has two hunting dogs and three quail in a field scene and the right side has five pheasants in flight in a field scene. The left side plate is signed "BH" (Burkhatd Hafner). The bottom of the receiver is marked "GEBR. MERKEL" in a banner with the Suhl logo below that, the left barrel is marked "GEBR. MERKEL SUHL / MADE IN GERMANY" and the right side is marked "360SL 410 GA LUX". Single brass bead sight on the matte solid rib marked "410 GA LUX" at the breech. Choked full/modified, 3 inch chambers with auto ejectors. H & H style side lock action with Greener Crossbolt, double under lugs, cocking indicators on each lock, tang safety, double triggers and mounted with Triple X fancy (Luxury Grade) English walnut splinter forearm and straight grip (English) stock with fine-line checkering and a hard rubber Merkel buttplate. Pull is 14 5/8". Complete with the original box numbered to the gun and brown leather bound hard takedown case with leather corner protectors, a combination lock, green fabric lining, nickel oiler marked "MERKEL GSI" on the lid and "MADE IN ENGLAND" on the bottom, three piece walnut cleaning rod and leather Merkel label affixed to the inside of the lid.
