Single bead front sight on a solid rib marked "W. PALMER JONES 35 WHITTALL STREET BIRMINGHAM". The barrels feature 3 inch chambers with ejectors. Fine scroll engraved trigger guard and frame. The right side of the frame is engraved with a dog on point in a field scene and a dog chasing a duck in a field scene on the left. Bright upper tang and frame, with the frame trigger plate blue. There are various proofs on the underside of the barrel under the forearm. Round knob pistol grip with checkered forearm and grip area, double triggers, tang safety and thick serrated horn buttplate.

Partially refinished. The barrels retain approximately 97% of the current blue finish with some streaks of gray patina and some minor spotting. The underside of the frame retains virtually all of the current blue finish with a few minor scratches. The trigger guard/lower tang feature a smooth plumb patina with some blue streaks. The wood is excellent with some minor scratches and dings. There are a few moderate dings in the overall sharp checkering. The rib marking has been remarked.
