Established in 1865 in Suhl, Germany, this shotgun was produced before 1945, when the company re-established in Munnerstadt, West Germany. Single nickel bead on the matte concave rib, with the right barrel marked "FR. WILH. HEYM" and "SUHL" on the left barrel. "Eagle/ N" proofs on the barrel flats, with "KRUPP- LAUFSTAHL" marked barrels, 2 9/16 inch chambers and double triggers. Superbly engraved frame, with raised scroll and leaf patterns on the breech, bursts on the screws, border work on the upper tang, and near full coverage scenes on the side plates, with a dog flushing a group of small birds on the right side and a fox preparing to pounce on a bird on the left, with "FR. WILH. HEYM/ SUHL" on the underside. Double triggers, horn trigger guard and tang mounted "SICHER" marked safety. Fancy checkered pistol grip stock, with a horn Schnabel forearm tip, engraved fittings, ebony diamond inlays on the sides of the wrist, hard rubber grip cap and an unmarked solid recoil pad.

Excellent, with 99% of the refinished blue finish on the barrels, showing the beginnings of a light brown patina on the sides of the chambers and near the muzzle, with some light handling marks and scratching. Good case colors are visible on the frame, strongest around the trigger guard and on the front, with a fine silvered patina forming overall. Stock is excellent, with some light cracks around the upper tang, a chip on the left side of the grip cap, and some mild handling marks overall.
