Single bead front sight on a concave solid matte rib. The barrels feature 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked improved modified and improved modified with ejector. The left barrel is marked "CHROMOX FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL" and "MADE BY A.H. FOX GUN CO. PHILA. PA. U.S.A" on the right barrel. Deep floral engraved and once casehardened frame, break lever, forearm hardware, tangs and trigger guard. The blue barrels feature wedges of floral engraving at the breech. The floral engraving incorporates game scenes on the frame: snipe on the left, quails on the right and a dog on point with two quails on the underside. Both sides of the frame are marked "ANSLEY H. FOX" in banners. Mounted with a highly figured walnut pistol grip stock with scallop type checkering on the forearm, grip area and stock flats. The forearm has an ebony tip insert. A solid Nosnoc recoil pad has been fitted to the buttstock. Has double triggers, automatic tang safety, and hard rubber A.H. Fox grip cap.

Very good. The barrels exhibit a smooth brown patina with a smooth gray patina forming at the chambers. The case color has turned to a smooth coin patina with limited traces of fade case color. Overall, the wood is very good with some minor dings and scratches, a couple of moderate dings and some light chips around the frame. There are a few moderate dings in the overall sharp checkering. The recoil pad has some moderate cracking. The markings and engraving are clear and crisp.
