Manufactured in Germany, this shotgun features blue barrels, break lever and trigger guard, and silver gray receiver and forearm hardware. Self cocking Anson & Deely scalloped box lock action, Greener Cross Bolt with double under barrel locking lugs, double triggers, automatic tang mounted sliding safety and Holland & Holland ejectors. This shotgun is beautifully Vintagers Cup engraved by Merkel master engraver Ralf Weiss. The receiver, trigger guard, break lever, forearm latch assembly and hardware and each side of the barrels at the breech are engraved with scroll patterns as well as a pheasant on the left side of the action, a grouse on the right side and a rabbit on the bottom. The left side of the lower tang is signed "R. WEI/S" Single brass bead on the solid matte rib marked ".410 GA LUX" at the breech end. 3" chambers and choked modified/full with ejectors. Mounted with Luxury Grade oil finished highly figured, checkered English walnut splinter forearm and straight grip stock with black Merkel buttplate. Complete with the original box numbered to the gun and papers, and a locking takedown hard case with pebble grain leather exterior with leather end and corner protectors, and hunter green velvet lining with a leather Merkel label affixed to the inside of the lid.
