Manufactured in Germany, this shotgun features blue barrels, break lever and trigger guard, and silver gray receiver and forearm hardware. Self cocking Anson & Deely scalloped box lock action, Greener Cross Bolt with double under barrel locking lugs, double triggers, automatic tang mounted sliding safety and Holland & Holland ejectors. The receiver is engraved with game bird field scene on the left side, two rabbits in a field scene on the right side and scroll patterns on the bottom. The left side of the receiver is signed "US" for Merkel master engraver Hans-Uhrich Sorg. Single brass bead on the solid matte rib marked "360 EL .410 GA" at the breech end. 3" chambers and choked modified/full. Mounted with Luxury Grade checkered oil finished highly figured English walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a black Merkel buttplate. Complete with the original box numbered to the gun and papers, and a locking takedown hard case with pebble grain leather exterior with leather corner and edge protectors and hunter green velvet lining with a leather Merkel label affixed to the inside of the lid.

Excellent with virtually all of the original blue finish remaining with some light handling marks. The frame has some minor scratches. The engraving is clear and crisp. The wood is excellent with only the slightest handing marks. The checkering is sharp. The box and care are excellent.
