Manufactured prior to 1908. Standard third model with all blued frame. Blade front sight with bead and adjustable rear sight with 3/4 length tube magazine. Left barrel flat is marked with the standard two-line Winchester address/patent marking, followed by model and caliber markings; upper tang is stamped with the three-line trademark stamping and the serial number is located on the lower tang. Mounted with a plain, straight grip stock, 12 groove slide handle and steel crescent buttplate.

Very fine. The barrel, magazine tube and buttplate retain approximately 90% of the original blue finish with a balance of smooth brown patina. The frame retains approximately 35% of the original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some light surface rust. The wood is very fine with some minor dings and scratches and a few moderate gouges and gashes. There is some minor varnish loss and "DB" is period carved into the right side of the buttstock.
