This is an excellent example of an early 2nd Generation Single Action Army revolver manufactured in 1957. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line block letter address, the left side is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 38 SPECIAL" and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. Casehardened frame, polished hammer sides and blue remaining parts. Blade front and frame notch rear sights and fitted with black two-piece checkered plastic grips with the Rampant Colt molded at the tops.

Excellent. The revolver retains approximately 97% original blue finish with some wear on the muzzle, some thinning and scratches on the cylinder and thinning to a blue/gray on the backstrap. The frame retains virtually all of the original vivid, bright case colors. The grips are excellent with a couple of minor handling marks and sharp checkering. The action is excellent.
