The consignors notes state that the engraving was done by Virgil Graham. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The left front of the trigger guard bow is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proof and the rear is marked with a "T". The loading gate is marked with the assembly "6867". The matching serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Blade front and notch rear sights and fitted with smooth one-piece ivory with gold Colt medallions. Complete in a wooden display case with a "COLT" medallion in the lid and wine colored French cut velvet lining.

Rating Definition:

Refinished and professionally embellished with 99% plus finish remaining. There is some overall scattered minor finished over pin prick type pitting and light handling marks. The grips are slightly ill-fitting at the heel and remain excellent with a small chip on the right toe and light handling marks. The markings and engraving are clear. The action is excellent. The case is excellent with a couple minor dings.
