This pair of impressive, consecutively serial numbered, engraved quality Uberti manufactured Single Action Army Revolvers are identical to the Colt manufactured revolvers, except for a notch in the hammer just below the firing pin. Both are identical and have been beautifully engraved at the Cuno Helfrict factory by Colt Master Engraver Ben Lane Jr. of Estes Park, Colorado, who is arguably the finest engraver working today. The sides of the barrel, frame and alternating cylinder flats are engraved in a floral scroll and punch-dot pattern. The loading gate, recoil shield, top of the backstrap and alternating cylinder flats have a clam shell pattern. There are simple zigzag and dot patterns on the ejector housing, trigger guard, rear of the cylinder and backstrap. Each revolver is signed "BGL" on the front of the frame directly below the cylinder pin. The revolvers are identically marked as the Colt revolvers are with the two line address on top of the barrel "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side of the barrel and the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. The revolvers are finished in nickel with fire blue screws, trigger, cylinder pin and pin release button. Blade front, frame notch rear sights and fitted with smooth ivory grips with a scrimshawed floral pattern around the screw holes, also done by Master Engraver Ben Lane Jr. This is an excellent and affordable way to own and display these wonderful works of art for a fraction of the cost of original Colts and not a long wait to receive the revolvers.
