Originally manufactured in 1876 and subsequently professionally engraved and refurbished. The revolver has the black powder frame and features floral scroll and punch-dot engraving on the barrel, frame, cylinder flats, butt, ejector rod housing and hammer sides. The backstrap has a simple weave pattern and three small horizontal gold inlaid lines near the top. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address and the left side of the frame is marked with the three line, three patent dates. The revolver is finished in blue with screws, trigger, hammer and a "bullseye" gold washed ejector rod. Standard blade front, frame notch rear sights and fitted with replacement two-piece smooth ivory grips with silver Colt medallions.

Professionally refurbished and embellished with all of the finish remaining. There are a few minor imperfections in the metal on the frame and trigger guard where the serial number is marked that have been finished over. The barrel and frame markings have been restamped. The grips are a bit ill-fitting and remain excellent with a couple of minor chips on the right panel, otherwise light handling marks.
