Description:

Blade front and adjustable sporting type rear sights. Manufactured as a flintlock rifle that has subsequently been converted to percussion. The light engraved lock plate has the flintlock frizzen spring holes unplugged. Mounted with a smooth straight grip half stock with pewter forend cap, brass crescent buttplate, trigger guard, side plate and patchbox and wood ramrod. The left side of the buttstock is missing an inlay.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel has a smooth dark brown patina with some pin point pitting and some white scuffs. There is some light surface corrosion near the front sight. The rest of the metal surfaces, including the brass, have a smooth dark patina. The period sanded and reoiled stock has a few minor chips around the lock plate, a few minor dents and some minor dings and scratches. There are couple of minor cracks on the right side of the forearm. The stock remains solid. Mechanically needs work.
