There are no markings on the barrel, which is rifled with four grooves. The Ashmore lock was originally flintlock but was converted to percussion, probably when it was installed on this rifle. It has fixed dovetail sights, brass at the front, iron at the rear. The furniture is brass with engraving only on the trigger guard. "EZ / 1886" is stamped upside down on the right side of the stock near the buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good with brown patina on the barrel and lock, mellow patina on the brass. The stock has minor dents and scratches. Mechanically fine.
