Produced in 1943. Two line, two block address and patent markings on the left side of the matching numbered slide, divided by the Rampant Colt logo. Frame is marked "G.H.D." and "P" on the left and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911A1 U.S.ARMY" on the right, above the serial number. Colt's "VP" Verified Proof stamp is visible on the trigger guard. Wide hammer spur, thumb safety, slide stop, magazine catch, milled trigger and mainspring housing are all checkered. Fitted with a Colt barrel and checkered plastic grips with reinforcing ribs and rings. With an unmarked full blue magazine, U.S. Sears holster signed "LT. WALLIS" and "CO. B", Avery green canvas magazine pouch (date illegible), tan cord lanyard, tan first aid pouch with sealed Carlisle kit, and a tan canvas "U.S." web belt. According to consignor information, Lt. Wallis of Supply Company B was in England in 1944, though this has not been confirmed.

Refurbished, with 99.5% of the original finish. Grips are excellent, sharply checkered. Accessories are very good, with some mild scuffing on the holster, staining of the lanyard and mild wear on the canvas parts. Action is excellent.
