Manufactured by the Irwin-Pedersen Arms Company. The receiver heel is marked "IRWIN-PEDERSEN" over the serial number and standard M1 Carbine nomenclature on the chamber. The barrel is marked "UNDERWOOD / 6-43 / ordnance bomb" and is equipped with a blade front sight with protectors and the early barrel band without bayonet lug. The flip up rear sight is currently missing. Is assembled with Irwin-Pedersen (trigger housing, slide, seal, safety, magazine catch) and Saginaw marked (hammer and bolt) parts. Fitted with an SG marked two-rivet handguard and a low wood early "I" oiler stock cut-out. The cut-out is marked "RSG" stamped over "IR-IP". The left side of the stock above the trigger is marked "AAU", "P" and "C" on the front of the grip and a circle "P" on the bottom of the grip. The stock has been cut to low-wood with rebuild marks and an included copy of a contemporary civilian data sheet confirms the current configuration. Complete with tan canvas sling. With Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) shipping box, CMP papers and reproduction 1942 dated carbine manual.

Rating Definition:

Arsenal refurbished, with 99% dark green parkerized finish remaining with light wear on the high edges. The arsenal re-cut stock has some minor dings, scratches and dents and a couple deep scratches. The underside of the forearm has some moderate gouges and some minor scuff marks. The stock markings are legible with the rest of the markings crisp. The sling is excellent.
