Remington Model 11 Riot Shotgun with military blue finish, plain receiver and oil-finished walnut stock and forend with no checkering or grasping groove. The stock is fitted with a brown plastic buttplate with the impressed Remington trademark and horizontal serrations. The receiver does not have the engraved game scenes found on the sides of commercial and early military contract Model 11 shotguns. The bolt is bright and marked "MODEL 11". The left side is roll-stamped with "U.S." followed by the Ordnance Corps "Shell & Flame" insignia followed by "MILITARY FINISH". The Remington trademark, patent markings and the serial number "712651" are located on the lower left side of the receiver. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line Remington address and patent dates. To the left of the address is the legend "12 GA FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS" followed by the choke "CYL", a "CMM" inspection mark and a small anchor. "U.S." followed by the "Shell & Flame" insignia is stamped on top of the barrel behind the address. The lower right side of the barrel is stamped with a Remington oval "REP" proof and a factory inspection mark. The lock lacks the usual Ordnance final inspection marks on the left side.

Arsenal rebuilt. Approximately 95% faded blue with light scratches and handling marks on the top of the receiver. The "REP" proof marks on the replaced military barrel were originally stamped after the barrel was finished and are now blued. The oil-finished stock and forearm are in excellent condition with very minimal handling wear. A solid example of a U.S. contract Model 11 Riot Shotgun.
