The rear of the receiver is marked "U.S. RIFLE/ CAL. .30 M1 /SPRINGFIELD ARMORY" over the serial number, the barrel is marked "2-S-A-6-43", and the bolt is marked "D-28287-12SA/ S - B7 (diamond)"and original to reciever. Semi-hooded front sight and adjustable rear sight, minus the locking bar. Early Springfield trigger group housing with Winchester guard and operating rod. Smooth walnut pistol grip stock with sling swivels, an unmarked green canvas sling, no visible proofs and a checkered steel trapdoor buttplate. With a U.F.H. 1942 bayonet, 16" blade, ribbed black plastic grip, and U.S. marked sheath, and the original DCM shipping box numbered to gun with Anniston Arsenal markings.

Arsenal refurbished, with 95% of the mixed parkerized finish, showing areas of bright gray patina and scattered handling marks. Stock is fine as lightly sanded, with some mild pressure dents and scratches. Bayonet is very good, with some bright gray and scratching overall. Action is excellent.
