German silver blade front and notch rear sights with light scroll engraved throughout. The top flat of the breech is marked ''DERINGER / PHILADELA'' and "P" with flanking zig-zag engraving on the left flat and a pair of deluxe silver bands on the breech. An additional ''DERINGER / PHILADELA'' is also marked on the lock plate and is also scroll engraved. The side of the hammer is scroll engraved, with a scale pattern on the head. Scroll engraved German silver accent inlays, reverse plate, and trigger guard, with "4" marked on the end of the trigger guard, a zig-zag bordered shield escutcheon and buttplate, floral pattern wedge escutcheons, and a pineapple finial. The stock is checkered fancy walnut with a triangular inlay on the tip and a bird's head butt. Measuring only 4 7/8 inches in total length.

Very good. A bright gray patina has formed on the barrel, with some darker spotting, and a mixed brown patina on the lock, hammer, and breech, showing traces of the original pattern below the hammer. Stock is good as repaired, with a filled area over the lock plate, a crack extending from the reverse plate, and some mild pressure dents. Mechanically fine.
