Also known as the Saw Handle Deringer, manufactured between 1865 and 1888. The barrel is chambered for the rare .30 rimfire caliber with a total quantity estimated at 500. The top barrel flat is marked "REMINGTON'S ILION, N.Y. / PATD. OCT. 1, 1861. NOV. 15, 1864". Brass frame, flared and contoured butt and fitted with rosewood stock. The serial number is on the frame under the left grip.

Very good. The barrel has a smooth gray patina. The brass has an even mellow aged patina. The grips are excellent with a few minor scratches. There is a minor crack on the left grip near the butt. The markings are legible but show slight fading.
