Smith & Wesson No. 1 Second Issue revolver. The revolver has a blued 3-3/16 inch barrel and seven shot cylinder. The top of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MAS." The cylinder has 1855, 1859, and 1860 patent dates. Blue barrel and cylinder with a silver plated frame. Grips are rosewood with a square butt.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. Approximately 60-70% original blue finish remains on the barrel thinning along high points and exhibiting a few handling marks. The frame retains 95% original silver plating with a few slight handling marks and showing an aged mellow brass coming through on some high edges. The silver plating has started to take on a pleasant mature age darkened tone. The grips are very fine with some varnish loss around the edges on the butt.
