Description:

Rare cased Civil War period field dressing kit. The kit consists of a 16x7 inch walnut case with an inlaid brass oval on the lid and accents on the corner. The case interior is divided into two compartments lined with red velvet. The upper compartment contains large assorted claps and prods, six of which have checkered walnut handles. The lower section features two large knives, two pairs of tweezers, a syringe, one fleeme and seven assorted claps prods and attachments.

Rating Definition:

Very good. All accessories are marked with different manufactures and rate good to very good showing some overall thinning and spotting. The case is very good exhibiting a large crack across the lid.
