Measuring 12" in length, with "WILLIAMS & WORTH" stamped on the right side of the frame, a brass dust/ water cover, and a 13" long hooked rod, attached to a sliding triangular block. In-line mounted nipple, with the spring loaded hammer having a smooth cocking knob and a simple rest for the sear. A piece of bait is hung from the hook, and when the animal pulls on it, the block is pulled forward, pushing the knob off of the rest and discharging the weapon. Mounted on a solid brass base, 6" long and 3" tall, with a tightening screw on the hinge, a threaded rod for elevation adjustment, and a set of 4 holes for securing the base. Writer cannot ever recall having one of these for auction. Very scarce.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. A fine aged patina has formed overall, with darker color in the protected areas. Mechanically excellent.
